Taking Your Data With You
Your health data belongs to you. Lova lets you export everything in formats your doctor understands — or just to keep a personal copy safe.
Your data is yours, full stop
Because Lova stores everything on your device, you already have complete possession of your data. The export feature is just a way to use that data — share it with your doctor, move to a new phone, or archive it somewhere safe.
You choose what to export, when, and who sees it. Nothing is shared automatically.
Export formats
Doctor-ready report (FHIR)
A structured health file (a format called FHIR — Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) that most modern electronic health systems can import. Think of it as the medical version of a universal plug.
Best for: Share with your GP, OB/GYN, or fertility specialist
Spreadsheet (CSV)
A plain-text table you can open in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet app. Every period, symptom, mood, and note in one file.
Best for: Personal records, analysis, or importing into another app
PDF summary
A nicely formatted printable document showing your cycle history, charts, and notes.
Best for: Print and bring to an appointment, or keep as a paper backup

How to export your data
- 1 Open Lova → Settings → "Data & Backup".
- 2 Tap "Export My Data".
- 3 Choose your preferred format (FHIR, CSV, or PDF).
- 4 Pick a date range, or export everything.
- 5 Tap Export — the file is saved to your phone or shared directly.
Moving to a new phone
Getting a new phone? Export your data as a CSV or FHIR file before switching, then import it into Lova on your new device. Multi-device sync (if you have it enabled) also keeps things in step automatically.
Back up before you factory-reset
Exports go directly to you
When you export, the file is created on your device and saved to your phone's storage or shared via your phone's share sheet (email, AirDrop, etc.). Lova never sees the exported file or sends it anywhere. You're in full control of who receives it.
