Biometric Unlock (Face / Touch ID)
Biometric unlock (using your face or fingerprint to prove it's you) lets you open Lova in an instant — no typing required.
What does "biometric" mean?
"Biometric" just means using a physical characteristic unique to you — your face or your fingerprint — as a key. Instead of remembering a PIN, your phone recognises you and opens the app automatically.
On iPhone this is called Face ID (face recognition) or Touch ID (fingerprint sensor). On Android phones it's usually called Fingerprint Unlock or Face Unlock, depending on your device.
You need a PIN set up first
Enabling on iPhone (iOS)
- 1 Make sure you've already set up an App Lock PIN (you need the PIN as a fallback).
- 2 Open Lova → Settings → Privacy & Security → App Lock.
- 3 Toggle on "Face ID" (or "Touch ID" on older iPhones).
- 4 Your phone will ask you to confirm with your face or fingerprint.
- 5 From now on, just glance at your phone (or tap the sensor) to open Lova.
Enabling on Android
- 1 Set up an App Lock PIN first if you haven't already.
- 2 Open Lova → Settings → Privacy & Security → App Lock.
- 3 Toggle on "Fingerprint Unlock" (or "Face Unlock" if your device supports it).
- 4 Confirm with your fingerprint when prompted.
- 5 Done — biometric unlock is active.
Your biometric data never leaves your device
Lova doesn't store or see your face or fingerprint. It simply asks your phone's own security system "is this the right person?" and your phone says yes or no. The actual biometric data lives in a secure chip on your device and never goes anywhere — not to Lova, not to our servers, nowhere.
If biometric unlock isn't working
Make sure Face ID or fingerprint is set up in your phone's own Settings app.
Check that Lova has permission to use biometrics (your phone may have asked and you declined).
Your PIN always works as a fallback — tap "Use PIN instead" on the lock screen.
