Architecture is a promise.
Most health apps make privacy a policy — a paragraph in the terms that can change next quarter. We made it a property of the system. A woman's health data lives on her own device, in an encrypted store we can't open, on servers we don't have. There's no setting to get this wrong, because there's nothing to toggle.
That one decision shapes everything else. The AI has to run on the phone. The app has to work without a connection. Sharing has to be an explicit act, in open formats, initiated by her. What follows isn't a feature list — it's the consequences of taking trust seriously.

Privacy by design
Health data is stored on the device, not in a cloud account. Data we never hold can't be breached, sold, or quietly repurposed — protection that doesn't depend on anyone keeping a promise.
On-device AI
Insights are generated by AI that runs entirely on the phone. Nothing she logs is sent to external AI services or the cloud — understanding her patterns never means surrendering them.
Encryption at rest
Her record is protected with AES-256 encryption on the device itself. If a phone is lost or stolen, the health history inside stays sealed.
FHIR-based interoperability
When she chooses to share, exports use HL7 FHIR standards — so her data is legible to care teams and health systems, not locked in a proprietary format.
Offline-first
Tracking, history, and insights work without a connection. A health companion shouldn't fail on a flight, in a rural clinic, or whenever the network does.
Cross-platform
One companion, consistent on iOS and Android, so a woman's record isn't tied to a brand of phone — and doesn't disappear when she switches.
