Reading the Calendar
Lova uses color and icons on each calendar date to give you an instant overview of your cycle:
- Solid pink/red dates: Days your period was logged
- Light pink dates: Predicted period days (Lova's best guess based on your history)
- Blue dot: Predicted ovulation day
- Light blue band: Predicted fertile window (the days you're most likely to be fertile)
- Small dot below a date: You logged a symptom, mood, or note for that day
Predictions Get More Accurate Over Time
Logging from the Calendar
You don't need to hunt for a log button — just tap a date. From there you can:
- Mark the day as a period day (or remove the mark if it was a mistake)
- Set your flow level for that day (light, medium, heavy, spotting)
- Add symptoms like cramps, headaches, or bloating
- Record your mood
- Write a free-text note
Tap Save and the calendar updates instantly to reflect what you entered.
Editing a Past Entry
Made a mistake on a previous day? No problem:
- Tap the date you want to correct
- Make your changes — add, remove, or adjust anything
- Tap Save
Lova recalculates your cycle predictions after any edit, so corrections always improve accuracy.
Switching Views
Lova offers two calendar layouts:
- Month view: See the whole month at a glance — good for spotting patterns and checking upcoming predictions
- Week view: A wider look at just one week — useful when you want to see more detail about each day's entries without scrolling
Switch views by tapping the view icon in the top corner, or by pinching on the calendar.

The Day Summary Panel
When you tap a date, a panel slides up showing everything you've logged for that day, plus Lova's prediction for where you are in your cycle. This is useful if you're not sure whether a day falls in your fertile window or how many days into your current cycle you are.
