Deleting Your Data Completely

Because Lova stores everything on your device, deleting your data is simple, total, and instant.

🔒

No Server-Side Data to Worry About

Lova never uploads your health data to any server, and there is no account to delete. Everything lives encrypted on your device. When you delete it from your device, it's gone — completely and permanently.

How to Delete Everything

1

Open Lova and go to Settings → Data → Delete All Data

2

Read the confirmation screen and tap Delete Everything

3

Optionally uninstall Lova from your device if you don't want to use it again

Option 1: Delete Data from Inside the App

This is the most thorough way to remove your data. It wipes all records — periods, symptoms, notes, settings, and predictions — while leaving the app installed.

  1. Open Lova
  2. Go to Settings (tap the gear icon)
  3. Scroll down to Data
  4. Tap Delete All Data
  5. Read the confirmation message — this action cannot be undone
  6. Tap Delete Everything to confirm

Lova resets to a completely blank state, as if you'd just installed it fresh.

⚠️

This Cannot Be Undone

Deletion is permanent. If you might want your data later, export it first via Settings → Data → Export before deleting. You can export to CSV or PDF for your own records.

Option 2: Uninstall Lova

Uninstalling the app from your phone also removes all of Lova's data — on both iOS and Android, app data is deleted when you uninstall.

On iPhone (iOS)

  1. Long-press the Lova icon on your home screen
  2. Tap Remove App
  3. Tap Delete App — this removes the app and all its data

On Android

  1. Long-press the Lova icon
  2. Drag it to Uninstall at the top of the screen, or tap Uninstall from the menu
  3. Tap OK to confirm
💡

Want to Keep the App but Delete Specific Entries?

You don't have to delete everything. Open the calendar, tap any date, and you can delete or edit individual entries. For bulk removal of a date range, go to Settings → Data → Manage Entries.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete all data in-app or uninstall, the following is permanently removed from your device:

  • All period logs and flow records
  • All symptoms, mood, and notes
  • All settings and preferences
  • Cycle history and predictions
  • Any partner sharing configuration
  • Any backup files stored within the app

What About Backups?

If you've used Lova's device-to-device encrypted backup feature, the backup copy lives on the other device (or a local file you explicitly saved). In-app deletion does not reach those external files. To remove a backup:

  • On the other device: Go to that device's Lova app → Settings → Backup → Delete Backup
  • Exported files (CSV/PDF): Delete these manually from your Files app or Downloads folder

There are no Lova servers to contact, and no account to close — because we never held your data in the first place.
