Offline Transfer

Privacy First
Initial Setup
Step 1: Install on All Devices
Install Lova on each device you want to sync:
- Phone (iOS or Android)
- Tablet
- Computer (macOS, Windows, or Linux)
- Web browser
Step 2: Pair Devices
On your primary device (the one with your data):
- Go to Settings → Sync → Add Device
- A QR code appears
On your secondary device:
- Go to Settings → Sync → Join Device
- Scan the QR code
- Confirm the pairing
Step 3: Initial Sync
Choose how to handle existing data:
- Replace: Primary device data overwrites secondary
- Merge: Combine data from both (may create duplicates)
Ongoing Sync
Once paired, sync happens automatically when devices are on the same network:
- Changes sync within seconds
- Works when both apps are open
- Syncs in background on supported platforms
Remote Sync
For devices in different locations:
- Initial pairing creates a shared secret
- Devices can sync when both are online
- Uses encrypted peer-to-peer connection
- No relay servers - direct connection
Same Network Best
Sync Status
Check sync status:
- Go to Settings → Sync
- See last sync time for each device
- Green = synced, Yellow = syncing, Red = error
Troubleshooting
If sync isn't working:
- Ensure both devices are on same WiFi
- Check that Lova is open on both
- Try manual sync: Settings → Sync → Sync Now
- Re-pair if necessary
Removing a Device
To stop syncing with a device:
- Go to Settings → Sync → Paired Devices
- Tap the device to remove
- Tap Remove Device
