How to Log Your First Period

Getting started with Lova is simple. Begin tracking your cycle privately in just a few taps.

1

Open Lova

Launch the Lova app on your device. Sign in with Apple, Google, or your email to start tracking.

2

Tap the Calendar or "Log Period" Button

On the main screen, you'll see a calendar view and a prominent "Log Period" button. Tap either:

The button

Opens the period logging dialog for today

A calendar date

Opens logging for that specific day

3

Select Your Period Start Date

If your period started today, the date is already selected. If it started earlier, tap the correct date on the calendar.

Backfill Your History

You can log past periods too! Tap any date in the past to add historical data. The more history you add, the better your predictions will be.

4

Set Flow Intensity (Optional)

You can optionally note your flow intensity:

Light

Spotting or light flow

Medium

Normal flow

Heavy

Heavier than usual

This is optional - you can skip it if you prefer just tracking dates.

5

Save

Tap "Save" and you're done! Lova will record your period start date and begin calculating predictions.

What Happens Next?

Log the end

When your period ends, log that date too

Predictions appear

After 2-3 periods, Lova will start predicting your next cycle

Add more data

Optionally track symptoms, moods, and other signs

Privacy Note

Your period data is stored only on your device. It's encrypted and never uploaded anywhere. Not even Lova can see it.
