ℹ️
Your Data, Your Control
Unlike Flo, Lova stores all data locally on your device. After migration, your data exists only where you control it.
Step 1: Export from Flo
- Open the Flo app
- Go to Profile → Settings
- Tap Privacy → My Data
- Select Request My Data
- Choose Download format
- Wait for email with download link (may take 24-48 hours)
- Download the file to your device
Step 2: Prepare Your Data
Flo exports data in JSON format. Lova can import this directly:
- Period dates and flow levels
- Symptoms you've tracked
- Mood entries
- Notes (where supported)
⚠️
Some Data May Not Transfer
Flo-specific features like AI predictions or community posts don't transfer. Your core cycle data will import successfully.
Step 3: Import into Lova
- Open Lova
- Go to Settings → Data → Import
- Select Import from Flo
- Choose your downloaded Flo export file
- Review the data preview
- Tap Import
Step 4: Verify Your Data
After import, check that your history looks correct:
- Scroll through your calendar to verify periods imported
- Check a few random dates for symptoms
- Verify your cycle length predictions seem reasonable
Step 5: Clean Up
Once you've verified everything imported correctly:
- Consider deleting your Flo account and data
- Delete the export file from your device
- Set up backup in Lova (device-to-device, encrypted)
Troubleshooting
Import Failed
- Ensure the file is the original Flo export (not renamed or modified)
- Check that the file isn't corrupted (try downloading again)
- Make sure you have enough storage on your device
💡
Fresh Start Option
If you'd rather start fresh, skip the import. Lova learns your patterns quickly - just log your periods as they occur.
